How can I better secure my account?

  • At Mango Exchange we use enhanced security measures such as 256 bit SSL security and two factor authentication. But there’s always ways to make your account more secure.
  • Use a complex, unique password that you’re not using on other sites.
  • Update and change your passwords every 2-3 months (use a password manager like LastPass or 1Password).
  • Do not sign into your account on public computers where information could be stored.
Note: Mango Exchange employees will never ask for your password.

What is 2-factor authentication (2FA)?

Two-factor authentication (2FA) or 2-step verification, is an extra step security layer on top of your username and password.

How do I turn on 2FA?

  • Log into your account.
  • On the right hand side of the page click on your Profile (the circular icon in the top right of page).
  • Click on the security tab (third tab when you have clicked your profile)
  • Scan the QR code into the Google Authenticator App and enter the 6 digit number you’re given. This will turn 2FA on for your account.

How do I sign in using 2-factor authentication?

  • First, ensure you have 2FA turned on for your account.
  • Sign in like usual with your username and password (like you would on any email account or website).
  • You will then be prompted to scan a QR code from our website with an authenticator app (we recommend Google Authenticator).
  • Next you will input the 2FA code your app generates into the SenninX Exchange website to complete your account sign in.

Which type of 2-factor authentication should I use?

For best results on the Mango Exchange we recommend Google Authenticator or another authenticator app such as Duo or 1Password.

We recommend against using SMS or application linked to a phone number because they can leave you vulnerable to phone number porting attacks. Basically an attacker can hijack your phone number and associate it to a device they control, effectively taking over the number and associated 2-factor authentication codes.

By using Google Authenticator or a specific authenticator app, the codes can only be accessed physically with the device running the app.

What do I do if I forgot my password?

If you have forgotten your password simply:

  1. Visit the Login Page
  2. Enter your email address and click "reset password"
  3. An email we be sent to the address you entered
  4. Click the link in the email to open the new password page
  5. Type in your new password twice, and click the confirmation button
  6. Use your new password to Sign In

How are fees applied when I buy or sell digital currency?

Mango Exchange fees are subtracted from the amount you enter for the total trade amount. For example, if you wanted to trade $100 USD worth of BTC for ETH, and the fee is .25%, the total amount of ETH you will receive will be valued at $99.75.

How long does a coin trade take to complete?

Currently only coin to coin trades are available on the Mango Exchange so there are no delays with your account associated with bank transfer times.

There may be variable wait times based on the coins you are trading. For instance if you wanted to trade some ETH for BTC, the transaction will appear on your account info page within a few seconds. But the transaction will list initially as pending (or unconfirmed). This is because it takes some time for the blockchain to confirm the transaction.

This delay is a feature of cryptocurrencies where they will go through multiple computers running the same protocols around the world to confirm that your transaction is valid (this makes it harder to hack or fake transactions). The coins will only be credited to your account after the transaction has been confirmed. You can only use the funds --sell it or convert it to local currency-- after the transaction has been confirmed.

How do I get back funds I sent to the wrong address?

If you send to a non-existing address and no one has claimed a transaction in 30 days, the funds will automatically be refunded to you.

In the event that you complete a transaction, due to the irreversible nature of cryptocurrency there is nothing that can be done on our end to refund the funds to you. Please exercise caution when entering addresses for trades and transfers.

WALLET

What is a crypto wallet?

A cryptocurrency wallet is simply a software program that enables you to send and receive digital currencies and also monitor your account balance. If you would like to buy, sell or trade Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency, you will need to have a digital wallet.

How do I load coins into my wallet?

Login to your account. On the right side navigation click the wallet icon to access your wallet. Select the type of coin you would like to load into your wallet for trading. Our system will generate an address code for you to copy and paste into whatever wallet currently contains your cryptocurrency so you can initiate a transfer.

Are there any fees for using the Mango Wallet?

There is a flat .1% withdrawal fee for removing your crypto funds from your Mango Wallet.

Do you offer cold storage in your wallets?

No, currently by default most your deposited coins will be kept in hot (online) storage to ease instant trading. This saves you a step when wanting to trade so you don’t have to activate funds in your wallet for a quick trade.

Can I input another wallet into my Mango Wallet?

No. You will need to deposit currency from your existing wallet into your Mango Wallet in order to start trading on Mango Exchange.
